Accessibility
We want this website to be usable by as many people as possible, including people using assistive technology.
How this site is built
This website was built with accessibility in mind, including:
- Semantic HTML structure with a single main heading per page and an ordered heading hierarchy
- Keyboard navigation with visible focus indicators and a skip-to-content link
- Form fields with associated labels and clear error messages
- Alternative text for meaningful images
- Colour contrast intended to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA
- Tap targets sized for touch, and layouts that adapt to small screens
- Reduced-motion support that removes non-essential animation when your device requests it
Standards
We aim to align with WCAG 2.1 Level AA, which is the standard referenced by accessibility legislation such as the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA). Accessibility is ongoing work rather than a one-time check, and we do not claim certification.
